After more than a year of the Covid-19 restrictions related to sport and travel, Ice Hockey is strongly alive and well in Dubai, on the outskirts of the desert.
The Finnish Business Council presented again its own teams FBC Lions to Dubai Mighty Camels Covid Cup Ice Hockey Cup held in Al Nasr Leisure Land Ice Rink on the 8th-10th of April 2021.
In total, 14 teams participated to the exiting end of season event. The FBC Lions played in traditional Beer Division which had four teams. In initial series, the team won two important matches and lost one. In semi-finals, the FBC Lions played against the Might Camels 2 team and won with big numbers 5-1. The final was played against the Rubens Veterans, the team containing several former Russian professional players. Unfortunately, the FBC Lions lost the exciting and tight match 1-2.
