As an expat living in Dubai, have you ever wondered what will happen to your assets and your children if you pass away or your spouse passes away? Yann Mrazek, Managing Partner at M/Advocates of Law, held a comprehensive workshop on this subject for FBC members and we want to share highlights with you.

Overview
The DIFC Wills and Probate Registry (“DIFC WPR”) has been launched on May 4, 2015. As such, it represents a fundamental step forward for the jurisdiction. It aims at addressing with certainty succession and inheritance matters of non-Muslims both residents and non-residents with assets in Dubai. It is the English language registry. Based on international best practice, the DIFC WPR provides the freedom you need to dispose of your assets. Moreover, the DIFC WPR gives certainty and looks after your family through a range of guardianship provisions.
